2:30pm Paddy Limb from the Business Doctors
Paddy Limb started in business aged 19, ‘with a van and no plan.’ He continued to develop and grow this business up to a five vehicle light haulage operation, by his own admission making all the classic small business owner mistakes and learning some painful lessons. He then joined a major PLC motor group as a commercial vehicle salesmen and was immediately placed on the management fast track programme. Paddy quickly went on to become the youngest dealer principal in the Mercedes Benz network, benefiting from the luxury vehicle manufacturer’s senior management training in the UK and Germany.
In 2007, along with three colleagues, Paddy completed a management buyout of a Volvo truck dealership group. The new team took an already successful business and set about growing it significantly.
