Keynote Speech on Business Growth In The Sheffield City Region
As the UK’s Minister for Sport, Richard Caborn was responsible for delivering the 2012 London Olympics while he was the Sheffield Central MP. Since leaving politics he’s become the business advisor to Sheffield City Council and heads up the Advanced Wellbeing Park that is currently taking shape in the Lower Don Valley.
Richard’s keynote speech will focus on what Sheffield is doing to ensure future commercial success including the place of the Sheffield City Region in the Northern Powerhouse that will link up and grow the economies of Sheffield Manchester and Leeds.

Richard Wright is a no nonsense business professional with a real interest in driving change, passionate about dealing with today and the future, rather than hanging on to old methods, structures and capabilities. He tries to build this forward looking culture into everything he does be it business (as Exec Dir of Sheffield Chamber) or education (as Chair of Sheffield College and founder board member of the two new UTC’s in Sheffield).
